The UK student visa requirements in 2023 are as follows:
You must have an unconditional offer of a place on a course with a licensed sponsor/ Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) reference number and documents used to obtain CAS.
You must have a valid passport (original) with at least 6 months of validity and one blank page
You must have acceptable English language proficiency test scores such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc. The minimum score required depends on the level of your course. For undergraduate courses, you must be proficient to at least CEFR level B2, which is equivalent to IELTS 5.5 overall with no less than 5.0 in each component. For postgraduate courses, you must be proficient to at least CEFR level C1, which is equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each component.
You must have financial proof that shows you have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course. You must prove funds for one of the following scenarios: If you are studying in London, you need £1,334 per month for living costs (up to 9 months) plus your course fees. If you are studying outside London, you need £1,023 per month for living costs (up to 9 months) plus your course fees. If you have been living in the UK for more than 12 months, you need to show that you have enough money to pay for your course fees and living costs for one year.
You must have evidence of qualifications that show you meet the academic requirements of your course. This could include current certificates or official transcripts of previous studies, diplomas, degrees, etc.
You must have all documents officially translated into English if they are not in English already. The translations must be certified by a qualified translator or translation company.
You may also need additional documents depending on your circumstances, such as: A tuberculosis (TB) test certificate if you are from a country where TB screening is required.
